The Wisconsin Interscholastic Athletic Association will return to Uihlein Soccer Park in Milwaukee as the host site for the State Girls Soccer Tournament on June 24 and 25, pending approval from the control board.
The State Girls football tournament and all spring sports were canceled in 2020 amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
The state tournament schedule and format will be changed this year from its traditional format to continue to accommodate pandemic guidelines.
The four-division tournament will take place over a two-day period simultaneously using Kohler Engines Field and Pat Jones Field for the semi-finals.
Accommodation and guidelines at Uihlein Soccer Park will allow unlimited participation for each of the two days of competition.
The semi-finals and finals of each respective division will be played on the same day, with Divisions 1 and 2 scheduled for Thursday June 24 and Divisions 3 and 4 on Friday June 25.
“We are delighted to be back at Uihlein for the women’s football tournament,” said WIAA Deputy Director Kate Peterson Abiad.
âProviding a sense of normalcy to these teams, having lost the entire 2020 season,â added Peterson Abiad, âis something we were hoping for over this past year. We look forward to two special days. “
The State Girls football tournament has been held at Uihlein Soccer Park since 2004.
The site has also been hosting the State Boys Soccer Tournament since 2003, with the exception of last fall and the alternate season this spring, when COVID-19 hosting and guidelines resulted in the tournament being held in different places.

Additional tournament details will be posted on the website when available.
